Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GeekASMR ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you visit wdm2vst.com (the "Website") or use WDM2VST Ultra (the "Software"). By using the Website or the Software, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

  • Order information. When you purchase a license, our payment processor Paddle collects your name, email address, billing address, and payment details. Paddle does not share your full payment-card number with us. We receive only the order confirmation, your email address, country, and the last four digits of your card.
  • Support communications. If you contact us at support@wdm2vst.com, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • License activation. When the Software is activated on your computer, our license server receives your license key, a hashed machine fingerprint (used only to bind your license to your computer), the Software version, and the time of activation. We do not collect the contents of any audio data, projects, or files you process with the Software.
  • Website analytics. The Website may use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics (such as page views and approximate country) to understand traffic patterns. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
  • Server logs. Our servers automatically log basic request information (IP address, user agent, timestamp, URL) for security and abuse prevention. Logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To deliver your purchase, including sending the installer link and license activation key;
  • To activate, validate, and renew your software license, and to enforce one-license-per-user terms;
  • To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries;
  • To send important transactional notices (receipts, license-related emails, security or compatibility advisories);
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use of the Software;
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

3. Sharing Your Information

We share information only as needed to operate the Software and the Website:

  • Paddle.com Inc. and Paddle.com Market Limited — our Merchant of Record, which processes payments and handles tax compliance. Paddle's privacy practices are described at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
  • Email delivery providers — used to send transactional emails (receipts, license keys, support replies).
  • Hosting providers — used to host the Website and license activation server.
  • Legal requirements — we may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

4. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one in which you live, including jurisdictions that may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.

5. Data Retention

We retain order and license records for as long as needed to provide ongoing support, enforce the license, and meet legal, accounting, or tax obligations. Support emails are retained for a reasonable period to maintain service history. Server logs are retained for a short period and then deleted.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your country of residence (including the EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA, and other applicable laws), you may have the following rights:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to limitations such as records we are required to keep;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Request a portable copy of your information;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, please email support@wdm2vst.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (HTTPS, encrypted storage, access controls, signed license tokens) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Software and Website are not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Cookies

The Website uses only essential cookies needed for basic site functionality and security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Website may not function properly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated where reasonable.
